Interblaze is a full-length album featuring Nova Scotian saxophonist and composer, Ally Fiola. It considers themes of grief, wonder, fear, and passion through the exploration of one’s inner fire. The album highlights seven original compositions and concludes with a tribute to Ally’s late grandfather. Also featured on this record is grammy nominated saxophonist Jeff Coffin (Dave Matthews Band, and Bela Fleck and the Flecktones), keyboardist Glenn Patscha (Bonnie Raitt), Kurdish rock guitarist, Shvan Kaban, and many top-tier Nova Scotian musicians including co-producer and fellow saxophonist, Chris Mitchell.

Quirky melodies infused with joyous grooves and unexpected twists and turns, Ally’s music is influenced by New Orleans brass band, Maceo Parker, Duke Ellington and Charles Mingus, to name a few. An experienced film composer, she connects to a wide-range of listeners with music that is emotionally charged, infused with personality yet widely accessible.
